FLAMINGO ROUTE BOTSWANA

This trip starts in Ghanzi, Western Botswana. Over the next 10 days we visit the Central Kalahari National Park where herds of desert animals such as oryx (gemsbok) and springbok abound.

With luck we will see the famous black-maned Kalahari lions and other predators that follow the herds. We then move on to the Makgadikgadi Pans, being some of the largest salt pans in the world which attracts millions of flamingoes and pelicans during the wet summer months = a “must see” experience!

We camp on islands under ancient baobab trees to enjoy true African solitude. From here we proceed to a totally different landscape where we are sure to see elephants then back-track a short distance to go to the Nxai Pans National Park, a predator haven. The route ends in Maun, gateway to the Okavango Delta.
