SOUTHERN NAMIBIA AND RICHTERSVELD

Ever heard of or been to the Richtersveld?  Join our exhilarating guided tour of this fascinating area and some unforgettable highlights of Southern Namibia.

This is a self-drive  camping safari that includes the awesome Fish River Canyon with the hot springs at Ais-Ais, the fossilized forest and incredible rock formations at Giant’s playground to seeing the wild desert horses and  a visit to the ghost mining town at Kolmanskop.

See the unusual kokerboom forests as well as the so-called ‘half man’ and the world famous red sand dunes of Sossusvlei.

Day 1.  Meet at Noordoewer

Day 2. Fish river Canyon, overnight Ais-Ais

Day 3. Fish River Canyon, lunch at Road Lodge, overnight Keetmanshoop.

Day 4. Visit quiver tree forest, Giants playground and fossilized forest. Overnight Hardap Dam.

Day 5.  Spend day at Sossousvlei

Day 6. Spectacular route 707. Overnight Tumauberg.

Day 7.  Search for wild desert horses, visit ghost town at Kolmanskop. Overnight Luderitz.

Day 8. Proceed to Rosh Pinah, cross border at Sendelingsdrif,enter the Richtersveld. Overnight at Potjiespram camp.

Day 9. Richtersveld. Camp at de Hoop or similar 

Day 10. Drive along Orange River to Vioolsdrif/Noordoewer. Last night together!

End point:  Vioolsdrift, South Africa
